Drama and Music for everyone

'Our Song' is a multi-generational songwriting project, to engage young people and adults in music and to forge links between different groups in the community.

Over the next 18 months we will be holding a series of guided writing workshops with people of all ages to create lyrics, melodies and songs to be performed and enjoyed. We believe that everyone has something to say and ideas to contribute. All sessions will be accessible and open to anyone in the specific age range for that session. There will be youth only, adults only and mixed sessions.

Working collaboratively, these ideas will be developed, rehearsed and some of the new material will be recorded and  performed.  Also, we aim to write a 'Super Song' using ideas from all the groups which will be performed / recorded by the end of the project.  'Our Song' will be a development of existing and previous work but will allow us to innovate and reach new participants and audience.
