Production 2019!

Boom Time is the story of a Cumbrian village, based loosely on the real story of Britain’s first Nuclear Power Station, Sellafield.
It is 1953 and there is much excitement that the new power station will bring jobs and new prosperity to the village.
Archaeologists are concerned that the ancient stone circle will be disturbed. The girl guides are worried that the field where they
camp will be built on.

Who are the mysterious men in bowler hats from London?

Do they have the best interests of the village at heart?

What has all this to do with the Cold War?

Then something goes wrong at the plant and lives are endangered...
Humour, intrigue and conflict made this musical show of human frailty, ignorance and resilience a thoroughly enjoyable night out, fired by the talented and vibrant cast.

The show was a big hit with the audiences and we have had lots of positive feedback.

If you want a DVD of the show, please send £7 to CYT, 35 Willow Walk, Crediton EX17 1DD or pay online (contact us for details) or at the session.
